Take a few minutes out of your busy life to enjoy some art. Visit the Image City Photography Gallery on University Avenue and check out their current show, “Elsewhere.” It is their first juried show, and I was lucky enough to have three images accepted. Don’t leave until you’ve seen my interpretation of White Sands National Monument in New Mexico and Death Valley in California, two vast, wild locations that truly are “elsewhere.” The show will hang from January 2–27, 2008. My second billboard for the Rochester Museum and Science Center is in place announcing the recent expansion of “Expedition Earth”. An awesome exhibit focusing on our precious Earth and how our environment has evolved right here in Rochester. Our models were students from the Genesee Community Charter School at the Museum. Everyone had fun creating the many images RMSC will use for future advertising.
Check the billboard out on your next trip into the city from the east. It’s on your right as you pass through the infamous can of worms.

Arrived home from the Professional Photographers of America Conference in Tampa, Florida, on January 9. Three days of intense education, networking, sharing, and some partying, with photographers from across the country. Whew! Long days and even longer nights. Kevin Kubota’s Photoshop class was amazing—I must get some of those actions. “The Art of Success” was taught by nine photographers who presented dozens of excellent marketing ideas and strategies. I’ll be working some of them into my business very soon. I’m already looking forward to next year’s conference in Phoenix, Arizona.
